Today was the first day of productions for our film!! Sam and I meet over at our other partner, Santiago's, house to film as this was the film location we decided on. The first scene that we had to do was the beginning bed scene where Lily wakes up in a panic. This scene should have been extremely easy to do, but it took a lot longer than we expected. I am playing Lily in our film and honestly it sounds a lot easier than it is. It is not easy to try and act out this character and it took a few tries to get my nerves out and be able to do this scene with out feeling totally embarrassed!
This was Santiago, our film director, standing over me in the bed to get the perfect shot:
Although the first scene is just a really short gasp as Lily wakes up, it took soooo many tries because we wanted to get one clip that was perfect. We also tried a few different angles and heights of where the exact clip should be taken from.
These are a few different angles and heights that we tried to see what would look best for our film:
This was the final angle that we decided on!!! All of our group members were happy with this angle and how it would start off our film. What I personally like most about this specific angle is the fact it looks so normal. That is how I would normally sleep and the character looks clam and relaxed before the craziness that is to come to her life.
Once we decided the angle all that was left was a few trial and errors of different gasps that we felt would sound good and look good in the opening scene of our film. There were countless tries and laughs at some of our takes but this is the final one we decided on at the angle we preferred!
